** 5/17/2017- Update- In reading this post again, I decided to update certain sections of it as my perspective has changed a bit. As to not intentionally deceive, or otherwise mislead readers, I put a note at the top the section, while leaving the original in tact. Other grammatical errors may or may not have been altered along the way, but will not be notated.

There was a time not too long ago when I scoffed at the idea of a literal 7 days of creation. Further, I chastised the entire “Creationism” movement. I used to say the earth, or minimally, man’s time on earth, being limited to the literal 6000 years from various interpretations of scripture, flew in the face of  both logic and science. Being a self described “intellectual Christian”, I never had a problem embracing science. I felt God wanted me to better understand His word through science. I believed in a type of intelligent design that supported the Big Bang, as well as evolution. In my mind, God’s Word spoke to me figuratively; not so much of literally. Then came my “conception“… And everything changed. I started having daily revelations, which I believe to be of the Holy Spirit, where dense veils of fog were lifted from my subconsciousness, revealing an understanding of God’s Word I never previously had access to. These revelations were both large and small. Ideas, thought and concepts were revealed in my conscious mind regularly through out my day, but especially while I compulsively devoured God’s word. One day in particular, during the first week after my conception, I had another revelation which came to me; much like an epiphany. As I was reading through the story of Genesis, I realized that I wholeheartedly accepted a literal view of creation. The intellectual barrier which had become a fixture in my mind, was not only gone, it was as if it had never existed. While still in awe of this spontaneous paradigm shift, I contemplated how science (namely archaeology), which for the most part stands in direct opposition to the idea of a literal 7 day creation, came into play. Without even finishing this thought I received my answer:

“If God created the world and everything in it, as perfectly as you yourself have confessed, wouldn’t it logically follow that He would have also created Science and the Natural Law to govern it. If by creating life both in the universe and on earth, wouldn’t it make sense that He would have used the same material (DNA) to build it all? Since God created the Natural Law that governs not only life and the universe, but also time, doesn’t it logically follow that He exists outside time?  And since He exists outside Natural Law, all it governs, and science, the study of all these things, couldn’t both the process and timeline of creation be whatever He wanted it to be? And wouldn’t Science explain creation they way He wants it explained, as opposed to how He actually did it.  Shouldn’t you just trust Him at His Word? “

And there it was. I became a creationist in approximately 96 seconds. From that point on, I believed in the literal interpretation Word of God. I started pouring through the bible with this new perception and things became so much clearer to me. While I had once (a few minutes prior) believed that the Word of God was open to various interpretations depending on the perspective, I now knew that God’s Word was perfect and infallible and was written just for us to be read the way it was written. At the same time, I also knew that there was also a figurative interpretation as well. I now saw both a micro perspective, the letter of the law, and a macro perspective, the spirit of the law. A story describing our beginning, while revealing the signs of our end.

“Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do. Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are now far from my righteousness. I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel.”   Isaiah 46:8-13

Creation: The Story Within the Story

Most of us, whether believer or not, have a general idea of the story of Creation. God’s carefully planned six days and one to rest, each dedicated to a building block of the life we so often take for granted. If by chance, you have not, I encourage you to go read the first chapter of Genesis before continuing any further. It hardly spans more than a page. Though I will go through each day below, I feel it is important that you have your own perspective of what the literal (micro) 7 days of creation were like, before I describe the figurative (macro) version that was revealed to me a short four weeks ago. For those of you that have, I will ask that you understand that I am not trying to change your existing perspective of creation, but rather adding to it. As I said above, I believe that there is a literal interpretation (which you already have) and a figurative interpretation (which I intend to share with you). Much like Jesus’ used parables to convey His messages, God used His work in the past to convey a message of the future. So as much of this is a story of the creation event roughly 6000 years ago, it is also the story of God’s divine plan to deliver us to this exact moment in time. By the end of this post, I hope you will be able to see that the events and people chosen to usher in those events, would not fit within any “day” of creation (thousand years to us) other than the one that they actually lived in. I also hope you will find this as awe inspiring as I still do and that you will be as overwhelmed at how perfect His Word is as I am. I pray that it will inspire you to constantly give our Father His due glory, for His Word and His will are flawless. If he can manage the last 6000 years with such amazing foresight and perfection, we know he can surely manage our short time here on earth better than we ever could. Even on our best day.

“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” 2 Peter 3:8
“A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night” Psalm 90:4

Day 0: The Days  Before the Fall (223 Years Before The Fall)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

5/17/2017- Update- In reading this section again, I have decided to included an updated version of this section, which more accurately reflects my current perspective on this matter. I have left the original section in its original form below.

Before we get into Day 1, I would like to explain the discrepancy between the Hebrew calendar and God’s timeline. First, when I originally wrote this post I had an entirely different theory on why the Hebrew calendar was apparently off by 223 years. I originally thought Genesis 2:23 (divine, right?) might have some thing to do with it:  “The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;she shall be called ‘woman’,  for she was taken out of man.’”. My theory was God started His timeline when He first spoke the universe into existence or maybe even after the completion of the literal 7 days of creation. I thought that God may have started counting Adam’s years alive after “the fall”. However, while this may or may not be true, after digging further and based on a entirely separate revelation I had regarding Daniel’s 70 Sevens, I came to see it in a different, but not contradictory, perspective. God has shown me time and time again His affinity for numbers and especially His affinity for the number “7” , above all others. Though I still believe my original perspective is still a good theory, I believe the solution of counting sevens was not isolated to that prophecy. Rather than get caught up in the minute details, I came to peace with the fact that there is sufficient evidence to support the entire theory and, if I am correct, it will soon be undeniable. If I am not, it too, will soon be undeniable. In any case, we can only wait and see. – Daniel

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Before we get into Day 1 I wanted to explain the difference in the biblical chronology (from which the Hebrew Calendar is based) and the start of God’s chronology for which His days (a thousand year period to us) is based. This was one of my earlier revelations into the bible and it was revealed to me that the Hebrew calendar is off by 223 years. It was confirmed by God’s Word as the full revelation came into focus. The following is the result of that revelation:
As you know, God’s first creation of Man was Adam. Later after some time had passed the Lord created Eve by taking one of Adam’s ribs. They lived in communion with God for an unspecified period of time before Eve was deceived by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God had forbade them from eating of that tree because they would “certainly die” (Genesis 2:17). This tells us that prior to eating the forbidden fruit, they would not die and were therefore immortal. However, once they ate the fruit they were banished from the Garden and became mortal. This is the fall, when Adam and Eve began their lives as mortal humans. This is not the the time God’s 1,000 year human clock started. God’s first figurative day started 223 years earlier, when he created Eve (which completed the literal 6th day of creation which stated that He created “male and female”- Genesis 1:27). Coincidentally (or Divinely rather), in Genesis 2:23 it says, “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” (the first confirmation of 223 in God’s word). With this understanding if we were to align the end of God’s first day (one thousand years to us) to the Hebrew calendar, His day would end on Hebrew year 777. While we are all somewhat familiar with God’s affinity with the number seven, especially as it pertains to signify completion (the Sabbath- 7th day of the week, Sabbath years- every seventh year, and Jubilee years-every seven Sabbath years), His Omnipotence becomes very evident here as the modern count of Hebrew Calendar years was not established until roughly 1128 AD (Prior to this they would count years from major events or reigns of kings). Even more amazing is that I believe He foreshadows this future event with the age of Noah’s father Lamech. Genesis 5:31 “Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.” What is also interesting and relative to this discussion is that while Cain (Adam’s first son) was the first person to commit murder, God marked Cain so to warn that if anyone were to kill Cain the would receive 7 times the vengeance. (Genesis 4:15) Later Cain’s great-great grandson, also named Lamech (the bible’s first polygamist), killed a young man in self defense and he (Lamech, not God) claimed that if anyone were to kill him, they would not receive the 7 times vengeance of Cain, but 77 times. (Genesis 4:24). This all seems to point to the significance of 777 in the life of Lamech, which I believe was to signify that the 777 mark the completion of God’s day (a thousand years to us). As I move on to discuss the specific days of creation and how they align to a specific person(s) and a specific age, I will be interpreting the relevant scriptures as metaphors… I just want to remind you that this is not to take away from the literal translation of God’s word, but to add an additional interpretation (from a macro view). This is not to negate the literal interpretation, nor to offer an alternative to the literal. I apologize for the redundancy, but I feel that this is extremely important for my readers to understand.

Day 1: Adam and The Age of the Fall (0 – 777 Years From the Fall)

Day 1 Timeline
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. Genesis 1:3-5

The first day of creation is the day that God created life through Adam the first human on earth. There are many verses in the bible that equate light to life. As just one example, Job 33:28 says, “God has delivered me from going down into the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.” Obviously here Job directly equates light to life, but also alludes to the “pit” (darkness) as the opposite of life (death). Good/Evil, Love/Hate, and Life/Death are all parallel and are somewhat interchangeable with the light/dark dichotomy. So let’s just swap the terms “light” with “life” and dark with “death” in Genesis1:3-4 and see how it reads. “And God said, “Let there be (life),” and there was (life). God saw that (life) was good, and he separated (life) from (death).” When you look at it from this perspective, it becomes easy to see that this was his intention on the first day. Obviously, God knew the end in the beginning, so He knew they would fall… But this was His intention. To separate Good and Evil, Life from Death, etc. Then “there was evening (the fall), and there was morning (the rise of mortal man) – the first day”.

Day 2: Noah and The Age of the Flood (Years 778 – 1777)

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. Genesis 1:6-8

The second day of creation was marks the day that God desired to separate the water from itself. The vault of the sky was created to allow water to be taken up into the sky. The water of the sky is what created the torrential rains of the miraculous flood. Noah and his family were set apart from the wicked people of the time as a type of a mulligan for God. It is not a stretch to believe that the use of the word “vault” in these verses could also parallel the ark, which set apart God’s chosen few (water of heaven) and the animals, from the rest of the wicked (water from the ground).

Day 3: Abraham and The Age of the Covenant (Years 1778 – 2777)

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. Genesis 1:9-13

The third day of creation points to the ground rising out of the water, which provided a foundation for all the vegetation and specifically the “trees bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds”. The covenant that God made was Abraham was he would be the father of many nations. In Genesis 17:6, God says, ““I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.” Abraham was the tree that produced Jacob, the twelve tribes of Israel, King David and Jesus (among a whole host of others).

Day 4: King David and King Solomon: The Age of God’s Temple (Years 2778 – 3777)

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.  Genesis 1:14-19

The fourth day of creation of was a little more difficult to interpret for me. While it was revealed to me that the two lights were definitely David and Solomon, I didn’t immediately understand why Solomon would govern the night. That is until I started digging into scripture to understand more about who Solomon was as a King and even more as a person. Most of you will know that David, while far from perfect, was the beloved kind of our Lord. He was the King by whom all other King’s were measured. And most all fell miserably short, including Solomon.

The interesting facts about Solomon, per the word of God, was that while the start of his reign was blessed by God granting him wisdom and a discerning heart with which he could righteously rule his people, he soon let his pride in his own wisdom and wealth blind him to the warnings from God. After spending 7 years building a glorious temple for the Lord (1 Kings 6), he spent 13 years building an even more glorious temple for himself (1 Kings 7). As a matter of fact his palace (100 cubits long, 50 wide =an area of 5000 cubits) was more than 4 times the the size of God’s temple (60 cubits long, 20 wide = an area of 1200 cubits).  It would be logical to conclude that Solomon was starting to exalt himself over the Lord. Furthermore, his throne had six steps leading up to it and 12 lions split with one on each side ofeach step (6 lions, 6 steps, 6 more lions).(1 Kings 10:19-20) The annual gold he collected weighed 666 talents (1 Kings 10:14). This is just the beginning of his fall. In the end he had 700 wives and 300 concubines, and these wives led him astray. He built high places (altars) to detestable (evil) Gods. He did such evil in the eyes of the Lord, that God would have yanked his kingdom away had it not been for His strong affection for Solomon’s father David. (1 Kings 11)

So after realizing the full extent of the evil that Solomon did in the eyes of the Lord, I started believing that he could have definitely been the “lesser light to govern the night”. However, I became convinced once I read Isaiah 14, where Isaiah is talking about Lucifer and how far he has fallen. I realized at that point that Solomon’s story eerily parallels the story of Lucifer. I have often heard by others that Solomon repented, but I haven’t found evidence of that. I would argue that the whole book of Ecclesiastes would indicate otherwise.

So yes a greater light to govern the day and a lesser light to govern the night. Yes, David and Solomon fit perfectly.

Day 5: Jesus Christ and The Age of Redemption (Years 3778 – 4777)

And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day. Genesis 1:20-23

The fifth day of creation was another tough one for me as I couldn’t see a direct reference to anything that could be interpreted as Jesus. However, when I read it in another translation this to was revealed. Genesis 1:20 in the King James Versions reads like this: “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” When I looked at this version I believe the Holy Spirit had me see it differently. The way I read it initially was: Let the waters bring forth abundantly life. In other words… Living water, which is a reference to Christ. Now I know it doesn’t say that, but once I read it like that… It changed the way I read the whole thing in it’s actual translation not an imagined one.

Day 6: Satan and The Age of Enlightenment (Years 4778 – 5777)

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Genesis 1:24-31

*The key verse for this creation day (1000 years to us is also better found in the King James translation of verse 24, it reads ““And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.” This obviously could mean several things (as it’s supposed to), but Beast of the Earth immediately brought to mind the devil himself.

Now the sixth day of creation was the toughest to find confirmations of out of all of the days of creation.  The year 4777 would have been roughly 1016 AD, which the word of God obviously has nothing to say about that time. Or does it? In Revelation 20, it talks about Satan being locked up for a 1000 years at the same time of Christ’s “first resurrection” in order “to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore untilthe thousand years were ended.” Notice it doesn’t talk about him not being able do evil, but it specifically talks about deceiving the nations. As if His sole power is in deceiving the nations until he is cast down on earth in the end. Once those those thousand years were up, he would be free to deceive the nations again. What does he deceive them with? The same thing he has deceived all prideful people with since the garden of evil… Attaining the wisdom of God. So in the last thousand years, we have lived in the shadow world of the Age of Enlightenment. And it has led us to where we are as a society today. The more knowledge/wisdom we gained the further our hearts drifted from our one true Father.

Now I know a lot of tribulation folks have their own interpretation of this chapter, but I have no other reference in the Word of God to reference in the thousand years after Christ. And God did reveal this timeline to me and pushed me to confirm it with His word.  Since there is only one resurrection of Jesus to this point and since our God is not a God of confusion, I am lead to believe that this resurrection is one and the same.

Day 7: Jesus Returns and The Age of God’s Rest (Years 5777+)

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Genesis 2:1-3

The seventh day… God Rested. What happens here? I don’t know, but we should find out soon as the Hebrew year 5777 starts on October 3rd of this year (2016).

**Side note: While I cannot (and therefore would not) claim that all of these perspectives were inspired by God, I will tell you that the timeline was a divine inspiration and as I dug into the Word certain things stuck out to me at what I felt was the prompting of the Holy Spirit. On my own, I would have never had the ability to figure out any of this on my own. If there is anything that you are unsure of or feel objection towards, I would just tell you to pray to the Holy Spirit to give you discernment. I wrote this post not to bring division among believers, but rather to bring unity by recognizing the infinite wisdom and power that our Lord has. To share in the wonder of His immaculate creation… Us. His Bride. If you feel that this is pushing you from me, I just ask that you pray for me and know that I am just a man doing what I feel God wants me to do. The message I have shared on this post, may not be for you… But we still may unite in the Love of Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross for both of us. God Bless you.
In the Spirit of His Love For Us,
Daniel
